DRILL – After a string of strong performances—finishing second four times and third once in his last five starts—DrIll threw in a clunker this week and failed to bring home a check.
CONRAD DIPOGGIO – Sat in the top four through the first half-mile but got locked in during the third quarter. He took the inside route turning for home, but the outer flow had all the momentum. He couldn’t advance into a check-earning position.
ENOLA – Got her picture taken after a picture-perfect second-over trip behind the odds-on favorite. (See Press Release for full details.)
MUSCLE BART – Laid off a blazing early pace with leaders battling through fractions of :26.3 and :27.4 for a half in :54.2. Miller launched Bart three-wide around the final turn and down the lane, sweeping past the tiring front-runners to finish third.
Looking Ahead – Starters
ERIN – Returns after a week off and will race at Saratoga this week, drawing post 8.
MONI MAN – Steps up in class and relocates to Plainridge, facing a small but competitive field of six.
SKY BOX – Draws the rail at Plainridge and has been installed as the 8/5 morning line favorite.
SHIPPS REVENGE – Back in action at Saratoga after a strong 50-1 showing last out. Listed at 20-1 again in the same class.
JUST ROSAS LUCK – Returns to Yonkers following a layoff and a solid qualifier at Monticello. She drew post 7 but is getting some respect from the track handicapper with an 8-1 morning line.
